Every night during the Christmas Light display, you will be entertained by various talented artists and groups singing Christmas carols.

A timetable for the carol singers is linked in .pdf format – please click on the heading.

Christmas is about giving.  We are collecting donations of wrapped Christmas gifts for children aged below 12 years old.  The gifts will be distributed by the Redlands Community Centre to those in need.  Please place a tag on the gift to identify if it’s for a boy or a girl and the age group you think would enjoy your gift this Christmas.

Your gifts can be handed into the office during the week between 9.00 am – 1.00 pm, or place it in the basket at the front of the church.     The Giving Tree will be available during our Christmas Light display from 2 December to Christmas Eve.  It will also be placed in a prominent position at our Community Churches Christmas Carols evening on 17 December so everyone can have the opportunity to place a gift under the Christmas tree we call ‘The Giving Tree‘.

WORKING BEES are held every Saturday 8am     There is LOTS still to do!   Can you HELP?   Rosters out NOW!

All craft and gift lines for the
Bethlehem Stall can be dropped into the
church office or left in the foyer clearly
marked for the Bethlehem Stall.
Needless to say Christmas items and
Christmas themed articles for sale are
greatly appreciated and sell very well.

January 2017:  A young girl came in to the 2016 Bethlehem Stall and said she had saved up her pocket money and wanted to give it to the Church. She said that she lived across the road and loved the lights. Her mother said it was a credit to everyone and it was inspiring. Everyone in the community enjoys it. The young girl wanted her pocket money to be shared by the Church and Christmas Light, so two amounts of $17.00 each have been deposited into the separate accounts.

The theme for the 2016 Christmas Light outreach program was– Light.

It seems that it is more than just locals who pass through Christmas Light each year. This video is from a Polish tourist who visited Christmas Light in 2013.

Jesus Light of the World – Let your Light Shine

CHRISTMAS IS COMING – LET THERE BE LIGHTWhy was Mary's saying yes to God's will to be the vessel for Christ so important?

Each year the Christmas lights are enjoyed by hundreds of visitors. Behind the scenes, many people are putting in hours of planning, work and effort so that the message of Christ’s birth can be brought to the community.

You are invited to join with us this Christmas to celebrate, ‘Jesus, Light of the World’.

 The aim of Christmas Light:

To bring the story of Christmas and the Greatest Gift ever given to the world,  to the people of the Redlands and to work together sharing our God-given talents.

You and your family are welcome to share the delight we all have in our Christmas Light display at Cleveland Uniting Church, 36 Passage Street, Cleveland, Queensland, Australia held every year before Christmas. Entertainment, free supper, children’s activities and so much to see and do.  Children – dress up and have your photo taken by Mum or Dad near the nativity scene.

Watching and waiting for the choir to start the Christmas carols service. This is an Ecumenical service with several other local churches held each year.
