Christmas Light and all things Christmas

2017:  next gathering for Christmas Light teams will be held on 8 July at 8.00 am.  More information, please contact Wendy or the office.

January 2017:  A young girl came in to the 2016 Bethlehem Stall and said she had saved up her pocket money and wanted to give it to the Church. She said that she lived across the road and loved the lights. Her mother said it was a credit to everyone and it was inspiring. Everyone in the community enjoys it. The young girl wanted her pocket money to be shared by the Church and Christmas Light, so two amounts of $17.00 each have been deposited into the separate accounts.

The theme for the 2016 Christmas Light outreach program was– Light.

It seems that it is more than just locals who pass through Christmas Light each year. This video is from a Polish tourist who visited Christmas Light in 2013.

Jesus Light of the World – Let your Light Shine

CHRISTMAS IS COMING – LET THERE BE LIGHTWhy was Mary's saying yes to God's will to be the vessel for Christ so important?

Each year the Christmas lights are enjoyed by hundreds of visitors. Behind the scenes, many people are putting in hours of planning, work and effort so that the message of Christ’s birth can be brought to the community.

You are invited to join with us this Christmas to celebrate, ‘Jesus, Light of the World’.

 The aim of Christmas Light:

To bring the story of Christmas and the Greatest Gift ever given to the world,  to the people of the Redlands and to work together sharing our God-given talents.

You and your family are welcome to share the delight we all have in our Christmas Light display at Cleveland Uniting Church, 36 Passage Street, Cleveland, Queensland, Australia held every year before Christmas. Entertainment, free supper, children’s activities and so much to see and do.  Children – dress up and have your photo taken by Mum or Dad near the nativity scene.

Watching and waiting for the choir to start the Christmas carols service. This is an Ecumenical service with several other local churches held each year.
