1 Vision and Dreaming Day (Sat 27 May) – 9am – 2pm held in Cleveland UC Hall (Lunch is provided)
This Saturday we will be having our 2nd session where we are seeking to listen, discern and plan together in response to where we believe God is calling us as a congregation. We will be building on the discussion about Values and Identity that began last time and taking time to reflect on the feedback for Cleveland UC from the National Church Life Survey. We will also take time to dream about what our church community will look like a few years from now. We will also begin the process of identifying a few key goals and values that will help us focus our efforts as we grow in the future. We believe that these things will help give shape and purpose to our mission and give direction to the way we manage our resources and develop our property.
All are welcome to join in and attendance last time is not necessary – everyone welcome to join in J
To make the most of the day, we are sending out some material for folks to read beforehand. This will get sent to anyone who came to the first session as well as those who RSVP for this next one.

3 Welcome and Membership Services (All Services, Sun 2 June)
2 June is Pentecost, the day that we celebrate and remember God’s Holy Spirit being given to his believers so that they could continue Christ’s work in the world. Pentecost is a time to celebrate our identity as God’s family and a great opportunity to formally welcome those who have found a home in this church. It can also be an opportunity for folks to participate in confirmation and acknowledge God’s work in your life, first acknowledged through in your baptism. It doesn’t matter if you have been attending for a few weeks or for a few years, if you would like to take this opportunity to declare that you feel like you belong here at Cleveland Uniting we would love to celebrate that in this service.
If you would like to know more about what membership and/or confirmation mean, or you are keen to explore baptism for yourself or your kids, contact Rev. Pete or Rev. Steve and we can have a chat and work out next steps.
